LGBTA Meeting Minutes for Thursday, November 7, 2002
Fall 2002 Meeting #10
~Meeting began at 8:05pm in 362 Student Union~
-The Meeting Minutes for meeting 9 were approved.
-On November 21, we will have out Thanksgiving Pot Luck dinner around 6 or 7pm. The location will be announced.
-We're looking for a new SISH club representative.
-The idea of an LGBTA Talent Show was introduced. It received support, and will be brought up again at the next meeting.
-We won the Student Union "Haunted Union" contest for the best decorated office and won an office party, sponsored by the Student Union. We can redeem it any time before the Fall Semester ends. As of yet, we're thinking of having a "Winter recess party" some time before exam week.
-Although our Out, Loud, and Proud speakers series will count for it in part, we need to come up with more ideas for fundraising for our SA requirement.
-The event programs for our Out, Loud, and Proud speakers series have been made.
-Right now, the LGBTA ranks 9th out of 40 clubs in the SISH council. We can improve our situation by steading our attendance at the SISH club council meetings, and completing our fundraising requirement.
-All those who signed up to usher at the Out, Loud, and Proud speakers series will need to be in the office at 5pm on Tuesday, November 12th to go down to Slee Hall and be assigned positions. You should wear your club shirt, khaki pants, and decent shoes.
