we have one week left in this grace period before the powers that be decide whether or not to ban food and drink from the office... things have been looking cleaner, but garbage is *still* being left where it shouldn't be, especially cups... ONE WEEK LEFT! clean up or eat somewhere else!
although we renewed our subscription to Out magazine at the beginning of this semester, there seems to be a delay in our actual GETTING it... hopefully it'll start coming in the mail

WomenServices on Main across from Hallwalls can always use volunteers to escort patients into the clinic Wednesday through Saturday mornings at 8am, come and help out whenever you can
this particular week, there will be no escorting on Saturday morning, but there *WILL* be a rally Saturday afternoon at 1pm in Niagara Square, in front of City Hall... this is in response to the recent assassination of Dr. Barnett Shepard, a local obstetrician/gynecologist who provided abortion services in the area, and to raise awareness of and support for women's reproductive rights... come if you can and show your support
the conference committee met last night (10/28) and started to brainstorm ideas about the spring conference; mostly, things are on hold until we receive our grant from SA, hopefully this Friday... ***vote was taken at the general meeting to move the conference from Easter weekend to the last weekend in March***
thank you to everyone who participated in last week's Take Back the Night; it was heavily attended, and LGBA definitely had no lack of representation
Anthony F. announced that UUAB has expressed interest in sponsoring an amateur and professional drag show in the spring...

Paddy Kilrain performed at Nietzsche's last night; we may be getting her for the spring conference...
the LGBA constitution will soon be posted to the web page please review it when you can, if a certain fraction of the membership feels a need to revise/update it, a committee will be formed to do just that: send questions, comments, or concerns to Martin, but don't forget that we don't want to flood his mailbox... so keep it meaningful!
Omar may be resigning his position as treasurer...
LGBA movie night: 8pm Friday, Nov.13th (!) in the office, 362 Student Union; we may be watching "When Night is Falling"
e-board members, please contact Martin ASAP suggesting when to schedule e-board meetings
we're waiting till after No Frills to take action towards the thrift clothing sale/fund raiser
we'll be sending thank-you cards to the professional performers from Coming Out Day
someone left their watch in the office, if you think it was you, come by and pick it up
