LGBTA Meeting Minutes for Thursday, October 10, 2002
Fall 2002 Meeting #7
~Meeting began at 8:15pm in 362 Student Union~
-Thank you to everyone who helped with preparing for and/or setting up our coming out week events.
-If you want a copy of the amateur or professional drag shows, give a blank VHS tape to Cory.
-If you took any pictures from the shows and you want them on the website or to have them put up in the office, give them to an E-board member.
-We need people to help with the SA spirit week window painting contest.
-Sign up sheets for SA spirit week events will be posted in the office.
-We need more people to sign up for the carnival date auction on October 18th. Please fill out and submit an application to Cory by the 17th at the latest (applications are available in our office or the SA office).
-Chris and Danny from The Real World are scheduled to come to UB on October 12th for our Out, Loud, and Proud series. We're still going through negotiations about getting Anisa, but she is likely to come.
-If you know anyone who would like to advertise in the Out, Loud, and Proud series programs, tell an E-board member.
-Aaron (Tiger Lilly), was the winner of the Amateur Drag Contest. Tino (Jewel Tucker), came in second.
-Contrary to what was posted in the generation a few weeks ago, Cory Hill is still the president of the LGBTA. Rachel Parrino is still the Vice President.
-Lorenzo is looking for another SISH club coordinator assistant. It is a serious job, and actually includes a small salary paid by SA. This position is open to members of all SISH clubs (including the LGBTA), but excludes officers of any such clubs.
-The idea of having a Halloween party was introduced.
