Meeting Minutes April 10, 2003Meeting Start Time: 8:03 Day of Silence -Thank You to all who participated. -all of the arm bands that were set outside of the office were taken. -we had many people asking to participate. -Thanks to those braved the weather, to help table on last Monday and Tuesday. -We did have a symbolic breaking of the silence.Finances -the numbers from the banquet are still pending. -most of the money we paid for the banquet came out of the sub-board account, which annually is donated to by one of the founders and servers as money to help to develop the club. -our SA budget is currently down to almost nothing. -Outlaw has pledged to donate the lump sum of their budget to our SA account-use toward our loan payments.-the new e-board will be assuming their offices in May. -Most of the organizations regular scheduled events have been completed for the year, however, weekly movie nights and meetings will be held through the remainder of the semester. -the facts lolly-pops is something that we can still do if there is an interest? -anyone interested or who still has facts please feel free to talk to Rachel. Upcoming events. -Monday is the Spring AIDS Memorial. -SOCO/TGIAS are RHA events that will be occurring this weekend. -There are a bunch of events and flyers on the wall in the office please feel free to stop by and see what is going on. -Lorenzo was re-elected SISH Coordinator by a sizable Majority. Please feel free to congratulate him when you see him around the third floor. Events for Next Year. -We are trying to get tabling area’s and reserve the union for national coming out drag shows and for the tabling event that coincides with that week. We also want to have as many people come and set up tables. Anyone who has ideas of organizations we can contact please feel free to contribute your ideas. -Its also a goal to get tables so that we can have the special events area for Day of Silence next year. -please don’t feel afraid to voice your opinions and ideas. No title is required; this organization was started and continues to run on members. The e-board is here only to help facilitate and keep things organized. Web-Site -anyone who sees something that they would like to add/change on the site, can make suggestions, we have some work that will be done over the summer so please let us know. -anyone who would like to give us photos we would appreciate them. Due to confidentiality please make sure that all people in pictures wouldn’t mind being on the web page. -we have also considered doing a group photo. Please look to the listserv for announcements.
