Meeting Minutes

Minutes: 03/06/02

Minutes by TJ Reinheart

- the phone situation is good; we've raised about $10.00 from quarters placed in the jar.

- The office will be closed on Fridays at 6:30pm for COSG. COSG will be held at 7pm on Fridays in the office.

- We are looking for individuals 21 years of age or older to get van tested so that we can take out SA vans to drive members to events.

- The Out Loud Proud Conference that has been held in the past will now be our Out Loud Proud Series, several different events rather than one main event.

- On Tuesday, March 12, SA will be having a conference regarding officer positions for SA. All members are invited to attend.

- The dance has been moved! It will now take place in the Hamlin House on March 19th

- Cory and Lorenzo were nominated for president. TJ was nominated for vice president. Nominations will continue next week. Only voting members are eligible to be nominated or to nominate. This means you must have attended 2 of the past 5 meetings.

- there have been some suggestions on remodeling the office, including the addition of plants or tapestries for the walls

- Current budget situation: We have about $5,000 and NEED to spend $3,500 by the end of the semester.

- The idea was brought up of purchasing a computer for use in the office. We may get someone (possibly TJ) to assemble one for us if this takes place.

- Cory is looking for help and/or suggestions regarding the decorations for the dance

- Potential fund raiser ideas: a bingo night, 50/50, or a raffle. We will need people to sell tickets for these events if they take place.
