Meeting Minutes January 29, 2004Meeting Start Time: 7:00pm 7:01 Attendance passed around.7:02 Marriage for a Day - We are cosponsoring this event with Psychology SA and Pagan SA. - The actual event itself is going to be on Monday 16th in the same rooms as last year, 145B SU. Anyone can walk in and either get married or divorced. - It’s $1 for marriage, and $2 for divorce. There might be a package deal to get married, and divorced. - On Monday 9th there will be tabling in the Student Union for presales. These are reservations for the 16th ceremony. People with the reservations will have a longer ceremony, marriage certificate, photograph, and other extras. The reservations can be paid in campus cash, because sub-board will be there that day. - We need people for decorations. The sign-up sheets will be posted next to the message board. Please sign up to help.7:04 Snow Tubing - So far we’ve decided on Saturday 21st to have the trip. - It is going to be $13/person if we can get a group of 20 people together. If not it’s going to be $15/person. The e-board is currently thinking of possibly cover some of the cost. They will get back to us on that. - Sign-up sheet for anyone interested to go and for anyone who is willing to drive, in case we don’t get the SA vans, will be posted by the message board.7:10 GRASP - There are 2 requests for GRASP coming up. One is on Monday 9th in Lehman at 7:00pm. Second is Thursday 26th in Student Union. - Sign-up sheets are posted on the wall by the Message board. Please come and show your support.7:12 Safe Zone Program - Training for safe zone will be on Monday 2nd 6-10pm in Hayes C on South Campus. - Trainings for facilitators will be on Tuesday 6-8pm. - Anyone who wants to be a trainer must attend both nights. - Rachel will be going to both events. For anyone who wants to go with a friend, she will be leaving for the events from the office at 5pm each day.7:15 Fundraiser - Can and Bottle drive Please do not bring in any alcohol bottles nor Dasani bottles. Make sure the bottles and cans have ‘NY 5¢’ on them. - Clothes for donation We have clothes from last semester’s SA Clothes Drive. We would like to donate to charity. Please bring in any clothes that you don’t wear anymore.7:18 Adopt a Club - Last semester we adopted X-hale winter guard. They will be having their first meeting on Wed 4th at 5:30pm. - Flyer for it will be on the wall by the message board. - If you have any questions please contact Ray.7:19 COSG - We will be holding COSG’s first meeting on Monday 9th at 7pm. - Anyone who isn’t for COSG please be out of the room 15 minutes before COSG begins.7:20 Out loud and proud serious - We have roughly $5000 in our budget for either a comedian, a speaker, or a concert. If you have any ideas please let the e-board know. - We are also doing Queer Eye for UB, and Kenny is in charge of that. About is giving us the cover and an article in their April issue. Sphere and Marcella’s is giving us $200 for food and alcohol. Roseanne is giving us a free hair cut. Kenny needs people to help him write proposal letters to organization. Current Fab 5 members are Seth (fashion), Nicko (interior design), Tara (food), and Kevin (culture).
