About Buffalo
    Though it's tucked away, Buffalo does have a rather large gay community - but it's just small enough to feel close-knit. Take the time to browse through the links to the left or go out and visit them in real life.
    From the selection of dance clubs and bars, to college organizations and parent's groups, the gay community in Buffalo has a variety of just about anything you can imagine.
    Throughout the year, Buffalo can be seen publically celebrating its pride. From our annual Out, Loud and Proud series, and Coming out week (Both which the community is invited) to the annual Pride parade down Delaware Ave. in Downtown Buffalo, there is much to do to be active.
    The location of Buffalo is key. It's just a short drive across the border to one of the largest gay communities in the world: Toronto, Canada. Other large cities within 3 hours are Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA. Contrary to popular belief, Buffalo is on the other side of the state, 8 hours away from New York City. However, a $50-$80 ticket on Jet Blue Airways can get you there in an hour.
UB LGBTA believes that it's essential to get off campus and do things within the community, and we try to do that throughout the year. We are definitely not stuck to our campus!
