Do not be misled by this lady’s Shirley Temple locks and luminescent baby face. On the Ultimate field she is a whirlwind of vicious ferocity. Her adorable exterior distracts all of her defenders, allowing her to burn them in any direction she chooses. Her infrequent mistakes are followed by loud expletives whereas her abundant win moments lead to fist pumps, her characteristic excited jump, and occasionally some arm flapping :)
Last year Manda won Most Improved for the team, and it’s easy to see why. Her passion and excitement for Ultimate spur rapid growth as a player and give her a contagious energy that keeps even the most grueling practice or game fun for those around her. She’s known to randomly burst into song and dance, two of many areas in which she has legit skillz. She has the tentative nickname of “Noodles” due to the fact that her hair is similar to the curliest, softest, most beautiful pasta… made of gold. Also, when she passes on the field, players have an inexplicable craving for Ramen or other such noodly delights!
Manda occasionally chooses to measure time in babies and whenever she emits her joyful laugh a fairy is born. She has superior cuddling abilities, loyalty and love for others equal to those of the talking dog in Up, and an enjoyable sarcastic sense of humor. She is basically the bomb, but pfffsht if you know her you already know that. If you’re not acquainted with this extraordinary woman specimen, be prepared to fear her on the turf and be entranced by her personality and energy off of it.
