The Health Division is responsible for placing persons interested in volunteering at hospitals, clinics, and in other health related areas. Not only will volunteers help in areas of great need, but they will gain valuable experience in the health related profession. Director: N/AEmail: communityactioncorps@gmail.com
Organizations Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo -- Ronald McDonald House is a program for the families of children with long term illnesses. These children require special medical facilities that may be located far away from their communities. Hospital treatment may last years. For these children’s families, accommodations can be hard to come by. Ronald McDonald House provides a place for these families to stay at low cost, but if that isn’t possible, they can stay for free as well. Our event involves visiting the House with some groceries and cooking either lunch or dinner for the guests. It is a nice way to help out these families, as well as pick up a few cooking tips and recipes from fellow volunteers! Click here to go to their site!
