ARTICLE VI: IMPEACHMENT AND REMOVAL OF OFFICERS
IMPEACHABLE OFFENSES
- Negligence of duties
- Misconduct
- Irresponsible actions and Misuse of Power
- Failure to work cooperatively with other executive board members
- More than two unexcused absences from general meetings and two executive board meetings (the executive board shall decide which absence is considered excuse or unexcused)
- If the action of any executive board member falls under these categories, any executive board member shall bring a motion to impeach.
- The decision to impeach an officer shall be announced at the general meeting.
- An impeachment committee shall be formed consisting of members who have attended at least 75 percent of the general meetings and participates in the clubs events for that semester.
- There shall be a hearing at the general meeting where the officer shall have the opportunity to defend him/herself.
- The impeachment committee and the Executive Board members shall have a final vote. A two-thirds majority shall be required to remove the officer.
- Any officer who has been removed or impeached from office will not be qualified to run for any executive board position in the future.
- Any officer who has been removed from the office shall immediately handover all club documents and records to the Executive board within on week of his or her dismissal.
- In case of resignation, the resigned officer is allowed to run again for office for the next voting year, however one resignation will be allowed.
- The General Meeting: the general meeting shall meet at least twice each month; Shall have the power to approve/disapprove all recommendations presented to it by Executive Committee; shall have the power to amend the Constitution; shall elect the Executive committee.
- Only the President and the Treasurer shall have the authority to withdraw funds from the clubs account.
- The President and Treasurer shall maintain an open communication with regards to the clubs finances.
- Any and all amendments to this Constitution shall require a two-thirds majority of The general meeting attended by at least two-thirds of the membership at the time Proposed amendment.
