Preamble
We, the members of the African Student Association, operating within the guidelines of the Undergraduate student Association of the State University of New York at Buffalo, affirm our determination to achieve and maintain unity am ong the members, regardless of race,creed, color, sex or political belief; we assert our commitment to learning about African values and promoting a true image of Africa in the University and the Buffalo community.

ARTICLE I: Name
This association shall be called the African Student Association of the State University of New York at Buffalo, herein referred to as the ASA.

ARTICLE II: Objectives
The activities of ASA shall be:
  1. To foster the understanding of Africa in this University, and the surrounding communities.
  2. To promote a true image of Pan African Spirit in the University and Buffalo communities.
  3. To encourage all African students in the University to participate in the activities of the Organization.

ARTICLE III: Membership
  1. Any member of the University shall be eligible to apply for ASA membership provided that he/she shares the philosophy and agrees with the objectives as stated in article II of this Constitution.
  2. Members who have attended at least 4 meeting per semester and are undergraduate students shall be eligible to vote in elections.
