To begin with, the Journal of World Anthropology would like to apologize for our tardiness in publishing this issue. We were waiting on one paper that was promised. The person kept promising to get it to us, so we held off on finalizing of the formating the articles. Our editorial and publication staff is many made of of post graduate and undergraduate students. When it was finally decided to go ahead without this paper, summer was upon us and everyone was heading off to there various summer time projects. Lesson learned: stick to the deadline if you have enough papers.
And, we have some interesting ones in this issue, dealing with music, dietary taboos, ethnomedicine, and a comparison of laws governing archaeological resources.
We look forward to continuing the publication of a large variety of anthropological works covering a number of theoretical and methodological themes and regions of the world.
