In this first issue, we provide a research report of the Martin Site, a prehistoric, multicomponent site in western New York. The bulk of the publication is book and software reviews. Prospective authors take note. The last item is a notice about the World Email Directory of Anthropology. This directory has been a feature of anthro-l for a number of years and is beginning to become extensive enough to be of real value as a research tool to anthropologists. Check it out.
We are eager to publish a wide variety of material, including papers which might not find an outlet in the more conservative print media. We welcome theoretical and methodological papers, as well as research results from all positions, areas of anthropology, and regions of the world.
Book, software, and film reviews are always welcome. If you are interested in writing reviews, we have contacted a large group of book and software publishers and are beginning to receive their offerings.
