2nd Research Conference on Relational Aggression
Department of Psychology
University at Buffalo, SUNY

June 19th & 20th 2006
What: In 2004 a group of active relational aggression researchers formally met for the first time at the Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. The workshop focused on the study of relational aggression and in particular on using observational methods to record relationally aggressive behavior across development. The group decided to continue to meet every 2 years to discuss new trends and issues in the field. This year the main topic will be the development of intervention studies for relationally aggressive behaviors. Additional topics concerning recent developments in the field will also be discussed.
This is an informal conference where researchers are free to share new ideas in a supportive and collegial environment. In the past, each lab presented data and facilitated discussion concerning a particular set of problems that they wanted to have addressed by the group. A similar format will be followed this year. In addition, the conference will provide an opportunity for the informal exchange of ideas and networking opportunities for all attendees.

Advanced graduate students in psychology or child development who are conducting research on relational aggression or who have a strong interest in conducting research in this area are invited to attend.
