Sibling Interaction and Behavior Study (SIBS)

The SIBS project is designed to gain a better understanding of how young children develop social behaviors, like aggression and prosocial behavior.  We are interested in understanding  how parenting, sibling characteristics, and child temperament contribute to the children's developing and practicing new social behaviors at home with their siblings.

Although the project is just getting started, we hope to recruit 60 families in all.  Participation involves a short visit to the family's home, where parents and children will answer some short questions about their home life, and the children will play with some fun toys that we provide.

SIBS Staff include Kirstin Grös, Jamie Guzzo, and Alyssa Tevens
