Ariana is a doctoral student working in the Self and Motivation Lab (with Dr. Lora Park) and the Social Self Lab (with Dr. Shira Gabriel). She is originally from Redwood City, CA and received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, working with Dr. Jim Blascovich. Ariana's research interests include the self, motivation and goals, gender roles, social surrogacy, and parasocial relationships. In her spare time, Ariana enjoys traveling, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Lindsey Streamer

Lindsey is a doctoral student in the Self and Motivation Lab (with Dr. Lora Park) and the Social Psychophysiology Lab (with Dr. Mark Seery). She is originally from Michigan and received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, working in the lab of Dr. Mark Snyder. Lindsey's research interests include self-esteem, motivation, gender norms and power. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys going on road trips, being outdoors, reading, listening to music and visiting the local SPCA.

Scott Beymer

Scott is a doctoral student in the Self and Motivation Lab. He is originally from Chicago, IL and received his B.A. in Psychology from Northwestern University, working in the lab of Dr. Wendi Gardner. Scott's research interests include self-esteem, the social self, gender, self-regulation, and close relationships. In his spare time, Scott enjoys reading, gaming, being with friends and family, and playing with his pug, Martin.

Cheryl is a doctoral student working in the Self and Motivation Lab (with Dr. Lora Park) as well as the Social Psychophysiology Lab (with Dr. Mark Seery). She is a Buffalo local and received her B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego, working with Dr. Dorothy Shedlock. Cheryl’s research interests include social power, self-esteem, gender, and motivation. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys hiking, jogging, playing sports, and spending timewith her friends and family.
