Ryan Gladding
Ph.D. Student
Ryan is originally from Honeoye, New York. He graduated from the University of North Florida in 2007. He received a B.S. in Psychology while working with his faculty advisor, Dr. Chris Leone. Ryan’s current research interests include the self, self-esteem, sports fandom, and motivation. When not reading journal articles, Ryan enjoys following football and baseball, watching a good movie, or playing video games with friends.
Melissa Harwin
Ph.D. Student
Melissa is a first year PhD student working with Dr. Park. She grew up in River Vale, NJ, and got a BA in Psychology in 2006 from Kenyon College. At Kenyon, Melissa worked with Dr. Linda Smolak and Dr. Michael Levine. Melissa’s research interest include self-esteem, rejection sensitivity, body image, gender, and motivation. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys tennis, reading, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Jordan is a second-year Ph.D. student working under the direction of Dr. Lora Park in the Self and Motivation Lab. He is originally from Holt, Michigan (near Lansing, Michigan) and in 2006 he graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and English from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, where he worked under the direction of Dr. Andrew Christopher. Jordan's research interests include self-esteem, motivation, psychological well-being, materialism, and money motives. In his spare time, Jordan enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and other sports, cooking, and planning his upcoming wedding with his fiancee Amy.

Ann Marie di Raddo

Ann Marie was born and raised in Rochester, New York. She received her B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University and is currently a first year graduate student in the Masters program in social psychology at the University at Buffalo, working with Dr. Park. Her research interests lie in the effects of contingencies of self-worth on adolescents and adults. In her free time, Ann enjoys reading, especially historical fiction, attending live music shows, digging up great music from the past, running, and traveling.

Justin is an adult student at the University at Buffalo, attempting to earn two degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Informatics. With a background in Media (BFA, School of the Art Institute of Chicago), he is interested in the research, design, development, implementation, and usability of "complex systems". Currently he is exploring the integration of "complexity" and pyschology in hopes of discovering a unified theory of psychological systems.

Tatsyana is from Brewster, NY. She is a junior Psychology major at the University at Buffalo with a minor in Anthropology. She enjoys psychology and science courses, especially chemistry. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and playing soccer. In the future, Tatsyana hopes to attend graduate school for clinical psychology.

Stella is a senior psychology major with a minor in sociology. She plans to go on to graduate school after a year off to pursue a degree in psychology. She is from Larchmont, NY and enjoys photography and films in her spare time.

Ginelle is a senior psychology major at UB, and will be applying to Ph.D. School Psychology Programs in the Fall. She is currently a McNair Scholar and involved in 2 research labs, including Dr. Park's lab. She hopes to someday work with children with learning disabilities.
