Welcome to HUB Training

The Student Services Transformation (SST) training team is dedicated to providing end-user training and support to ensure that faculty, staff and students can effectively use HUB. Specifically, the goal of the training team is to help the university community gain the competencies and skills required to perform tasks and work in the new environment.

Training will be delivered in a variety of ways, including classroom based training with an instructor (core application users), self-paced eLearning, as well as a combination of both methods.

UBSIS Name Changed to HUB!

UB Students have selected the “HUB” as the name of the new UB student information system. Nearly 2,000 suggestions were submitted to the “Name It” contest to create an identity for services that will soon be available through MyUB beginning in spring 2011.

“We were very pleased with the response to the contest as it generated significant student excitement about the new system,” said A. Scott Weber, Vice-Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Education. “The HUB embodies the central nature of the services, data and transactions that the new system facilitates while capitalizing on the UB brand.”

Students will enter the “HUB” within MyUB, and be able to access many features to conduct business as a “one stop shop” including registering for classes, paying bills, accepting or rejecting financial aid packages, and tracking progress toward a degree.
