ESI Curriculum Committee

The Environment and Society Curriculum Committee, as reconvened in April 2004, is charged with the following tasks:

  • Evaluate the feasibility of developing a new undergraduate minor in environmental science and/or policy If deemed feasible, the committee will prepare a list of tasks and timetable for developing a curriculum and submitting a proposal to the university by December 1, 2004, for inclusion in the 2005–06 university catalog.
  • Review and update ESI's listing of environmental courses
  • Develop recommendations for new interdisciplinary environmental courses The initial focus will be primarily on graduate courses.

  • James Jensen, Associate Professor of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering
  • Chris Renschler, Assistant Professor of Geography

  • Margaret Shannon, Associate Professor of Law
  • Lee Dryden, Director of Interdisciplinary Degree Programs in Social Sciences (ex officio)
