Mission
The mission of the Environment and Society Institute (ESI) is: (1) to coordinate, strengthen, and promote interdisciplinary environmental research, teaching, and service activities within the University at Buffalo; and (2) to utilize the expertise of its members to assist communities in addressing their environmental problems.
