March 15, 2004:

After a lapse in our existence we are reorganizing/revamping The Guild.  Possibly even re-naming it.  We will be having a meeting Friday, March 26 at 4pm in the Rehearsal Workshop (CFA B83)  to discuss this.  Please e-mail Jeff Coyle for more information.
Below is an excerpt from an e-mail from Jeff about this:

"For several years now, there has been little to no student representation within the department.  Where once there was a strong student run organization, known as The Guild, there is now nothing.  It is time we as students of the Department of Theater and Dance again come together.  I propose a reinvention of sorts, the creation of a "New Guild," an organization actively involved in making our years here at UB as fruitful and productive as they can be.  This organization would produce student productions each semester, focusing on all three main aspects of the department--dance, acting and singing--as well as hold social functions and workshops in various areas of study.

This is a great challenge, and I cannot do it alone.  To be successful, this "New Guild" needs the full support of every student in the department. We need your ideas, your creativity, and your talents.  Together, we can create something wonderful.

So over this Spring Break, take some time to think about ways in which you want the "New Guild" to help you become the best you can be.  Gather your thoughts, ideas, theories, and suggestions and save them.  When we return on Monday, March 22nd, there will be fliers located in the student lounge and on the call board across from the CFA Production Office, asking for your ideas and inputs.  Please fill one of these out and hand it in.

Finally, on Friday, March 26th, the first Friday after we return from Spring Break, there will be an open meeting to discuss the creation of this "New Guild."  I hope that you will all come and help me make this "New Guild" a success."

March 23, 2004:

The survey has been posted.
Please download it and give it to either Jeff Coyle, Tom DeTrinis, Tim Eimiller, or Brian Butera by Thursday, March 25th.  If you can not locate these four students, there will be an envelope on the call board opposite the CFA Staff Production Office where you can deposit the survey.

If you have any questions about the site or have a suggestion email the web administrator danieltoner@yahoo.com.  I'm especially looking for links to post on here for the dancers and musical theatre majors.  There are a lot for actors and techies, but not enough for the other half of the department.  Can anyone help?  Actually, if you have any good links you think should be up here, e-mail the web administrator.
