About UBForce

UBForce is an unofficial, all volunteer group of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University at Buffalo participating in the SETI@Home distributed computing project. SETI@home is a scientific experiment that harnesses the power of hundreds of thousands of Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI).

We all can participate by running a screensaver program or a text client that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data. There's a small but captivating possibility that your computer will detect the faint murmur of a civilization beyond Earth.

UBForce's goal is to go to the top of the Top 100 Universities list! For this, we need your help!

Go to our Supporters page to learn who else on campus thinks looking for E.T. is a fun idea!
