 EOC Eligibility Requirements                                

Applicants must be New York State residents for 12 months prior to enrollment, and demonstrate academic and economic eligibility. Applicants are considered academically eligible if their educational background limits their pursuit of higher education or obtaining employment. Examples include lack of high school diploma, inadequate job skills for entry level employment, or inadequate math, English, or other pertinent skills. An applicant is economically eligible if s/he qualifies according to the guidelines established.

Applicants for EOC must:

1. Be a resident of New York State for the past 12 months.

2. Be an out of school youth, 17 years of age or older.

3. Meet the following guidelines established by the State University of New York:
a. have an income within the EOC guidelines
b. lack the educational skills or background required for college admission

All students who apply for entrance to EOC are required to complete an application, provide proof of NYS residency and document educational and financial background.
