Home CONTINUING EDUCATION UNIT What is a CEU? The CEU (Continuing Education Unit) is a standardized unit of measurement used throughout the United States by educational institutions to record participation in non-credit (also called credit-free) education programs. One CEU is awarded for every 10 hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified instruction. How are CEUs Used? Recipients of CEUs may use them as evidence of their interest in continuing education, their participation in such programs, and their subsequent life and career enrichment through increased knowledge. Employers, in turn, may use the CEU as evidence of an employee's performance capabilities and for promotional consideration. Approved programs are accepted by many boards and professional organizations. How do you earn CEUs from MFC? CEUs are earned by participation in programs approved by Millard Fillmore College. CEU record forms are completed at the time of the program by the individual and certified by the instructor or program director when the program is completed. The information on the record form is processed and a computer printout record is then mailed to the recipient of the CEU award. CEU Costs $75 (per program) for a provider to establish a CEU database $7 for a CEU registration and certificate for the individual and $10 for a CEU cumulative record for the individual For More Information Interested in learning how your conference or training program can earn CEUs?
