The sentence will be increased by half the applicable minimum
and maximum terms when the multiplicity or repetition of the criminal
acts show the convict to be a habitual or career criminal. Instead
of increasing the sentence, the court may choose to apply a security
measure of commitment or of surveillance, which will become effective
after serving the sentence.
