Article 46

At the time of imposing a fine, or by subsequent judicial order, the court may, in view of the financial situation of the convict, grant an extension or authorize payment in installments, with a personal surety or with collateral. At the court's discretion, the surety or collateral requirements can be waived.

These benefits can be cancelled due to nonpayment, or if the convict's financial situation improves noticeably.
