Article 57

Security measures may consist of treatment, commitment to an institution, and surveillance.

Treatment measures require submission to an appropriate therapeutic program, to be administered in specialized institutions or their dependencies. Measures of commitment require submission to a program of work and education. They will be applied in agricultural establishments, labor camps and other specialized institutions.

Measures of surveillance may consist of: 1.) Establishment of a fixed domicile; 2.) Prohibition to visit certain places; 3.) Duty to report to the police and other special surveillance authorities; 4.) Duty to abstain from drinking alcohol; and 5.) Duty to abstain from using narcotic, hallucinatory or other addictive substances.
