In case of nonpayment, the fine is converted into a day of imprisonment for each unpaid quota. The State reserves the right to enforce the fine by seizing the convict's assets. If the fine is converted to imprisonment, the term will not exceed one year.
The convict can pay the fine at any time, deducting any quotas paid off through imprisonment.
When a combined punishment of imprisonment and fine is imposed,
and the fine is unpaid, the converted fine will be added to the
imprisonment.
