Orientation Check-In

If you need to register for English as a Second Language courses* and/or have to take TOEFL or SPEAK test(s) before registering for courses, please check in on Sunday, August 17 between 12:00 and 5:00 p.m. in Knox Hall. You will be able to register for your ESL courses and test(s) on Sunday and then rest prior to taking your test(s) on Monday. If you need to take a test but miss Early Check-In, you will have to check in early enough on Monday morning to register for the required test(s). If you will take ESL courses but miss Early Check-In, your course registration for your other courses (major courses and General Education courses) will be delayed. If you are not required to register for ESL courses or take any tests, you may check in on either Sunday, August 17 from 12:00-5:00 or Monday, August 18 from 9:00-3:00.

* If you are an undergraduate student who scored below 79 (iBt) / 213 (computer-based) / 550 (paper-based) on the TOEFL and are conditionally admitted to UB, you will not be allowed to register for academic courses until you have registered for the required ESL courses.
