- The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), while not required, is encouraged and strongly recommended for freshman applicants. Students who graduated from U.S. high schools must submit an SAT score.
- Academic Transcripts. Official original transcripts or official certified true copies of academic records are expected. If your transcripts are not in English, certified true translations must be attached. Transcripts should show marks and credits earned for all upper secondary school-level work. In most cases you will be submitting transcripts before you have completed your final year of secondary school; if so, please indicate your expected graduation date.
- Advanced Standing may be granted to Freshman applicants who have attained specified minimum grades in AP subjects, A-level exams, Abitur, CLEP, HKALE, and the IB Diploma among others:; visit http://tas.buffalo.edu/altexam for details. Credits for Advanced Standing may be evaluated and articulated to specific UB courses before or after you arrive on campus. Your academic advisor will provide more information when you arrive.
