Our Campus
UB has two campuses, North and South, approximately three miles apart. The North Campus is our new addition to our traditional South Campus, which dates back to 1846.
The North campus has been expanding since it opened in the early 1970's. The North campus houses the College of Arts and Science, the Schools of Education, Engineering, Informatics, Law, Management, Pharmacy, and Social Work. The North Campus academic buildings are technological equipped for multi-media presentations in the classrooms. The most recent addition to the North Campus is Creekside apartments, an on-campus apartment complex opened August 2002. UB continually finds new plans and ideas to expand its services for our students, whether it is from our state-of-the-art academic buildings to our new apartments.
Our South Campus provides the traditional ivy-covered academic environment. This campus houses the Schools of Architecture and Planning, Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dental Medicine, Health Related Professions, and Nursing. The South Campus is a unique environment with the clustering of the medical field in one campus keeping in mind that we were founded as a small private medical university.
Our campuses are connected by our convenient bus service connecting our two campuses. The South campus is the connection point to downtown buffalo, which is about 20 minutes away by Metro rail.
