Application Instructions
- Agent / Advisor Processing. Are you working with an Education Agent / Advisor? If an agent will submit your application and communicate with the university on your behalf, your agent must use the Agent Processing Form 中介/代理申请表格. This process and form are for Agents only.
- Premium Processing. Do you want faster processing? Do you want your acknowledgement and admission decision faster? Use the new “self-managed” application process (at no extra cost) and have your decision in just a few days. Use the PREMIUM_PROCESSING_FORM. This premium processing is for international undergraduate students only; agents and others may not use this process.
- All communication from the Office of International Admissions occurs by e-mail and through the "Application Status" web site. You must submit a valid e-mail address and set it to accept 'group' distribution. Please add out e-mail address to your address book so that our messages are filtered into your Junk or Spam folders; our e-mail address is: intadmit@buffalo.edu. It is your responsibility to check the "Application Status" web site regularly for your personalized application information.
- UB accepts applications for two intakes: the Fall (late August) and Spring (early January) semesters.
- International students should apply using the downloadable paper application form; please do not use the SUNY online application system - the online application is intended for US citizens and international applications will be delayed.
- UB International Admissions has Rolling Admission with a preferred submission date of April 1st (for Fall semester) and September 1st (for Spring semester); applications will be accepted and reviewed after these preferred dates IF seats are still available in our Transfer class.
- Submit the application form with the following required documents:
- academic transcripts, certificates, diplomas;
- test scores (TOEFL)
- financial form and bank statements
- if you are in the U.S., submit a copy of your visa and I-20.
- Students who have completed fewer than 24 credit hours of college-level coursework outside UB at the time of application will be required to submit secondary school academic transcripts as well as college academic transcripts. Students who have completed more than 24 credit hours of college-level coursework outside UB at the time of application need submit only their college-level academic transcripts.
- Documents can be submitted separately and we will match them with your file.
- Personal essays and recommendations are not required; however, we encourage them if you believe it will help us to better understand your background.
- Application fee is $40 payable by credit card or bank draft.
