Placing Files on Wings
To publish your website you must place the pages you have created into the directory that has been assigned to you when you registered as an Information Provider.
How to Login
To Place your files on the server you must first login. To do this you will want to sftp into ubunix.buffalo.edu. If you do not have a sftp client, both a windows and mac client are available from techtools. When logging in use the address ubunix.buffalo.edu and your ubit name and password.
Where to Place Your Information
All the files that pertain to your website should be uploaded to the directory that has been created for you, using one of the sftp clients available from techtools. Your directory will be a sub directory of '/net/wings/info/www/'. Again, the exact directory should have been given to you when you registered. If you do not have this information contact wings at the bottom of this page.
Placing files in your directory will make them visible to the public. You can now check that your page works and displays correctly by directing your browser to the address supplied to you.
