11/10/06 Cookie Lee Jewelry and Painted Glassware Sale

The University Business Services SEFA Committee is sponsoring a Cookie Lee Jewelry and Painted Glassware Sale on Wednesday, 11/1, from 10 - 2, in the first floor lobby of Crofts Hall. This is another new vendor who has the very latest in creative combinations of colors, shapes, stones and materials to make unique and affordable pieces. This same vendor also sells hand painted glass items including mini and regular size ornaments, wine glasses, pitchers and glasses sets, vases, votive candles, and candy dishes. Prices range from under a dollar to $40. Cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted as payment.

11/08/06 School Supplies Recap

Day of Caring volunteers present donations of school supplies collected at the SEFA Kick-OFF. The presentations were made on Wednesday, November 8 at King Urban Life and Frank A. Sedita Elementary School #30 (two of the closing-the-gap in Buffalo).

Organizers of the 2006 SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) campaign are hoping the message His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama delivered to UB during his three-day visit last week will spur the university community to top this year's campaign goal of $910,000. Full story

Flower Bulb Sale

The College of Arts and Sciences is selling assorted spring bulbs this year as a SEFA fundraiser. This is the college’s third year of participating in this flower bulb sale - it has been very successful and the bulbs produce beautiful results! These bulbs make great gifts for yourself, your friends that love to garden and anyone else who enjoys beautiful spring flowers!

Choose from a wide range of choices including many varieties of hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, mountain lilies, crocuses and much more! Get your orders in soon as the last day for orders will be October 6th!

9/14/06 & 9/15/06 SEFA fundraiser

Date: Thursday, 9/14/06 and Friday, 9/15/06

Location: Medical School BEB Courtyard

On Thursday, September 14th and Friday, September 15th, the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will be holding a SEFA fundraiser on the South Campus from 12:00 to 2:00 in the Medical School BEB Courtyard, rain or shine.

A hotdog and a can of soda pop will be $2.00. Chips and candy will also be available. Please come and support this worthy cause. Every dollar raised will go directly to the Campaign, thanks to a generous donation from the Medical School. 8/30 - 10/25 CAMPUS FARMER'S MARKET

Date: Wednesdays, 8/30 - 10/25
Time: 10am-2pm
Location: The Commons Plaza

Beginning August 30th, the UB Philosophy Department in conjunction with First Amherst Development is sponsoring a Campus Farmer's Market in The Commons plaza. The market will run every Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM through October. The market will feature all locally produced products including vegetables and fruit, custom baked goods, jellies and jams, maple syrup and honey, and sausage. Also present will be a SEFA booth offering various products as a fund raising activity for SEFA.
