Residency End-of-Life Curriculum Project
Faculty Development
A key element in the residency curriculum project is faculty development.
A core faculty with more extensive knowledge in end-of-life care is
important, but it is also essential to assure a minimum basic level of
knowledge among clinical faculty throughout the department and school.
One challenge that will need special attention is the widely dispersed
geography of the teaching hospitals in Buffalo. Academic presentations
are always going to be at an inconvenient location for a large segment of
the clinical faculty. Programs repeated at multiple sites as well as
distance learning, online resources and other innovative modalities will
be necessary.
