
Dilemmas in Clinical Medicine
DCM is the required 3rd yr ethics course at the UB School of Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences. The format has changed in the 2002-2003 academic
year. It is folded into each of the clinical clerkships (two sessions
each in Medicine and Surgery; one session in all other clerkships). There
are tworequired case write-ups per year (one in Medicine
and one in Surgery). The cases are expected to be real patients the
student encountered in the rotation.
