Community Affairs Committee

The Community Affairs Committee is in the Center liaison with the Western New York Institutional Ethics Committee Network (composed of committee chairs from area hospital ethics committees). The Network and Center have jointly sponsored monthly ethics grand rounds at area hospitals, as well as a day long conference, keynoted by Dr. Kevin Wildes of the Kennedy Institute for Ethics (also organized for VA Medical Centers in new York State).

The latest project of the committee is to develop a system-wide orientation program for new ethics committee members. This will be integrated into the Center Gopher On-line Orientation.
