In her programs Susan Howe discusses the trajectory of her literary career, from her roots in painting to the establishing of the Poetics Program at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also speaks about the poetry of war in relation to women
writers and about the misrepresentations of Emily Dickinson in the study of American Literature. Susan's programs were recorded on a hot summer day in a New York City appartment in 1995.
