"Cultivation", in its truest sense, has to do with
privileging weaker members. That is, the weeds are the
healthy ones. If let go, weeds would overun the plot plan.
In fact, these cultivated members are technically so
genetically inferior that they would never survive without
these constant handouts, attentions, protection. Socially,
protection extends to the those that are not exactly
building blocks of the desires and goals of its own
sponsoring body. Continued cultivation rests on the
belief the organism is capable of producing fruit,
in however distant a time.
