As an excellent tradition of the Conference, ICRA '98 publishes Video Proceedings covering new and significant experimental results, demonstrations, and industrial case studies in robotics and automation. The purpose is to enhance and complement the results presented in technical sessions and published in CD-ROMs. This year's Video Proceedings includes 27 segments categorized into the following groups:
The contributions are from the following ten countries: Australia (2), Belgium (1), Canada (1), Finland (1), France (1), Italy (1), Japan (6), Korea (1), USA (12), and Yugoslavia (1).
Abstracts and video previews (30 seconds per segment in MPEG format) are available here, and links have been established from the ICRA's video page to individual authors' homepages to provide viewers with further browsing opportunities. It is intended that each year new entries will be added to the MPEG Video Preview Link (or another IEEE designated successor site). Researchers and practitioners will then be able to locate updates from year to year, obtain past or future full length video tapes available from IEEE, and cite them in paper or video publications. Video segments from the Video Proceedings can thus be located and cited just as easily as conference papers without viewing whole one-hour tapes to find a segment of interest.
