Pre-Arrival Info: Spring 2011 Program

Welcome to Buffalo! We hope you have had a safe and enjoyable journey. Please follow these instructions.

For Students With Off Campus Housing Arrangements
Off campus students have 2 options to pick up their Information Folders.
(1) Friday, January 14 from the ELI office.
(2) Monday, January 17 from the ELI office.

For Students With On Campus Housing Arrangements
The residence hall will open on Sunday, January 16. ELI staff will be at Clement Hall from 11:00 am to 6:30 p.m. to assist newly arrived students with their room registration and settling in arrangements. For those students arriving in Buffalo before or after the arrival day, contact Kathy Curtis at least 1 week before departure for further instructions.

The Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA)
The Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) is about 6 miles from Clement Hall, South Campus. Please take an Airport Taxi Service cab to Clement Hall. Tell the driver to take you to UB’s South Campus, Clement Hall. You will be able to check your flight arrival information and Buffalo’s weather at www.buffalo.com. An Airport Taxi Service cab will cost approximately $25. plus tip to the South Campus from BNIA.

Delayed Baggage
If your baggage is delayed, make sure you complete a delayed baggage report before leaving BNIA. Give ELI’s phone number (716) 645-2077 as a day-time contact. If you will live on campus, give the following as a delivery address: UB, Goodyear Hall room 119, South Campus. Goodyear Hall room 119 is the Main Street Campus residence hall office. It is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Early/Late Residence Hall Arrival
If you plan to arrive in Buffalo either before or after the arrival day and will be living in Clement Hall, contact Kathy Curtis at least 1 week before departing your home country for instructions.

Students arriving after 6:30 p.m. with Clement Hall reservations should also contact Kathy Curtis.
