The University at Buffalo's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free program offered to all University at Buffalo employees and their families. Through consulation and referral services, the program offers free and confidential services to benefit employees. It can provide assistance with any type of problem, no matter how big or small. Issues EAP Coordinators have dealt with in the past have ranged from substance abuse issues, domestic issues, legal referrals, and child care referrals. EAP does not provide counseling itelf, but serves as a link between University employees and many professional skilled counseling, medical, and allied resources within the community.
