Kelly, who is scraping to pay her way through college, is carrying the maximum number of hours, far more, her advisor believes, than she should. "What else can I do?" she asks. "I can't afford another year! It's either do this, or I give up the degree."

So instead what she has given up is sleep. And there is one class, a Gen Ed requirement that she has been putting off until she absolutely has to take it. Which is now. The class bores her; she couldn't be less interested, and she's satisfied with doing the bare minimum and scraping by.

One week before the end of the semester the course term paper is due. Kelly knows the due date. She's just not motivated to do the paper. And now, two days before class, she hasn't even thought of a topic. She considers asking the professor for an extension or an incomplete, but she's so tired that the only thing keeping her going is the thought of being finished in two weeks. What should she do?
