Spybot

Introduction
Spybot is a program designed to identify and eliminate potentially harmful spyware files on your computer. Eliminating these files can speed up your computer and help to reduce or eliminate recurring software problems.
Obtaining Spybot
- Spybot can be downloaded at:
http://safer-networking.org/en/index.html. - Click Download at the top right side of the page.
- Scroll down the page and click the Download button to the right of the product listing for Spybot - Search and Destroy 1.4.
- Click the Download Here button next to any of the available mirrors.
- The page will redirect you to a third-party web site that contains a download link for Spybot. Follow all on-screen instructions to download the file. When the Opening window appears, select Save to Disk, then click OK.
- When the Downloads window appears, click Open next to the spybotsd14.exe entry. If the Downloads window does not automatically appear, press Ctrl j to open it.
Installing Spybot
- Choose a desired installation language, then click OK.
- The Welcome screen will appear. Click Next to continue installing Spybot.
- Read the license agreement, select I accept the agreement, then click Next.
- Click Next to install the necessary files to the default directory. If you want to change the installation directory, click Browse, select a directory, then click Next.
- Click Next to accept the default installation components. Select any additional components you want to use, then click Next.
- Click Next to accept the default Start Menu folder. If you want to use a different Start Menu folder, click Browse, select the one you prefer, then click Next.
- Select any additional settings that you prefer. The default setting is recommended. Click Next to continue.
- Review your installation preferences, then click Install to begin installing Spybot. If you want to make any changes, click Back until you reach the section you want to change. When you are finished, click Next until you return to the Ready to Install window, then click Install.
- Please wait while the Spybot files install on your computer.
- When the installation is complete, the Completing window will appear. If you want to run Spybot immediately after completing the installation, select the Run SpybotSD.exe option. Click Finish to complete the Spybot installation process.
