Introduction

Flash is a media format that encompasses various graphics and animations. It is used frequently across the World Wide Web, often embedded in various web pages. Flash Player allows you to view Flash media applications, granting you access to various animations and interactive games posted on the Web.

Obtaining Flash Player

  1. Flash Player can be downloaded at: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
  2. Click Download Now.
  3. Click Download Now.

  4. Select Save to Disk, then click OK.

  5. When the download finishes, click Open next to the file in the Downloads window. If this window does not automatically appear, press Ctrl j.

  6. Please wait while Flash Player installs on your computer. If you receive any errors about open browser sessions, ensure that you are not currently running any web browsers on your computer, then follow the instructions in the error message.

  7. When the installation process is complete, you can test whether Flash Player is working correctly by visiting http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/. If an animated movie appears under the Adobe Flash Player heading, Flash Player has been successfully installed.
