Introduction
UBFSHome facilitates access to UBFS disk resources from Windows XP. It provides secure access to the centrally located UBFS disk area from the Public IT computers in all Public Computing Service Areas.
Impending UBFSHome End of Life
The UBFSHome product is being discontinued by the vendor in the near future. UBIT is committed to providing support for UBFSHome through Spring 2006. However, your UBFS space will still be accessible; only the UBFSHome client will be discontinued. Web Folders, a system designed to allow you to mount your UBFS space on your home computer, is available for home use and is a popular alternative to UBFSHome.
Using UBFSHome
- To run UBFSHome, click start, select All Programs, UBFShome, then UBFShome.
- In the new window, enter your UBITName and Password into the UBITName
and Password fields, respectively. Click

- UBFSHome will log you in. It will mount your UBFS drives. To access them, double-click on My Computer, and select the drive you wish to view.
