Microsoft Windows XP - Disabling Bridges
Documentation table of contents.
Introduction
A network bridge connects two or more separate network segments. If your computer has two network connections, these connections may be bridged. However, a network bridge may inhibit your ability (and that of others) to connect to the University at Buffalo's network and also damage the network itself.
Disabling Bridges
- Click start, then select Control Panel.

- Double-click on Network Connections.

- Right-click on Network Bridge, then select Disable.

Note
You must be logged in as the computer's administrator to disable network bridges.
