Safari for Mac OS X Version 10.2

Introduction
Safari is a web browser that includes features such as tabbed browsing, a google toolbar, and a pop-up blocker. Safari is included as part of the Mac OS X operating system for versions 10.3 and later, and is no longer available from the UB Tech Tools Software Downloads Site. The Firefox browser is available from the UB Tech Tools Software Downloads Site.
Installing Safari
- Visit the Apple Safari download page:

- Click the Download button.

- Please wait while Safari downloads onto your computer. When the download process is complete, double-click on the Safari.dmg entry.

- Click Reveal in Finder.
- Double-click on the Safari.dmg icon.
- Double-click on the Safari.pkg icon.
- When the Authenticate window appears, enter your computer's Administrator username
and password and click OK. This username and password is likely different from your UBITName and Password, and is the information you use to log into your computer.

- Click Continue.

- Read through the Software License Agreement, then click
Continue.

- Click Agree to accept the terms of the
Software License Agreement and continue with the installation.

- Select where you want to install Safari, then click Continue.

- Click Install.

- Please wait while Safari installs onto your computer.

- Click Close to complete the installation.

You can now use Safari. To open it, double-click on Macintosh HD on your desktop, browse to your Applications folder, and double-click on the Safari icon.
Note
You should run Software Update after installing Safari in order to get the newest updates to the software.
