Introduction

Flash is a media format that encompasses various graphics and animations. It is used frequently across the World Wide Web, often embedded in various web pages. Flash Player allows you to view Flash media applications, granting you access to various animations and interactive games posted on the Web.

Downloading Flash Player 9.0

  1. Flash Player 9.0 can be downloaded at:http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer
  2. Click the Download Now button.
  3. Click the Download Now button.
  4. When the download finishes, double-click on the install_flash_player_osx.dmg icon.
    Save to Disk.
  5. Double-click on the Install Flash Player 9.0 OSX icon in the new window to begin the installation process.

Note

Install any browsers for which you want Flash capabilities before installing Flash Player.

  1. When the Install Flash Player 9 OSX window appears, click Continue.
    Install Flash Player.
  2. Close all Internet browsers that you are currently running, then click Install.
    Close all browsers
  3. Please wait while Flash Player 9.0 is installed on your computer.

  4. When the installation is complete, a web page with an animated movie advertising Macromedia Flash will appear. If this movie appears correctly, Flash Player 9.0 has been successfully installed on your computer.
