![]() My recent research has concentrated on postmodern fiction in the information age, the relation of literary form to theories of chaos and complexity, and the paradigm shift from print to electronic culture. Some material related to this project can be found in the pages for my Graduate Seminars on postmodern fiction. Undergraduate students and other interested parties can find course materials for English 370: Multimedia Literature on the respective pages for Undergraduate Courses. I've also begun a series of essays that address poetic texture and compositional method in various genres of twentieth-century poetry. My study of American modernism adopts an interdisciplinary approach through the visual arts and musical form, with emphasis on constructivism, William Carlos Williams, and the New York avant-garde. I've recently completed editing a three-volume series of the Dictionary of Literary Biography on American Poets Since World War II that covers 78 poets in over twelve-hundred pages. More information on these volumes can be found under Publications.
