> Environmental Design Admission Checklist

Non-UB transfer students must FIRST apply to the University at Buffalo through the UB Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Application and meet the University at Buffalo's transfer admission requirements.

Non-UB International transfer students must FIRST apply to the University at Buffalo through the UB International Admissions Undergraduate Transfer Application and meet the University at Buffalo's international transfer admission requirements.

Current UB students and non-UB transfer students should consult directly with the UB's School of Architecture and Planning Advisement to determine proper academic program preparation.

Both current UB students and non-UB transfer students must complete a departmental BA Env Dsn admission application, available:

>> Online from the Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design Admission Application Web page.

Current UB students and non-UB transfer students are reviewed and considered for admission to the BA Env Dsn upon fulfilling:

>> A minimum of 24 credit hours;

>>
Attaining an overall minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.33;

>>
Completing both PD 120 (Introduction to Urban Studies) and PD 212 (Urban and Environmental Planning) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5;

>> Competitive admission on a space-available basis; ideal applicants will have a minimum UB GPA of at least 2.5 or higher; and,

>> BA Env Dsn admission applications are due no later than June 15 for Fall admission and November 1 for Spring admission.

>> Applications for the Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design received after June 15 for Fall admission and November 1 for Spring admission will be reviewed on a space-only available basis as guided by the School of Architecture and Planning's admission statement. Contact the UB's School of Architecture and Planning Advisement at [ap-advising@buffalo.edu] for assistance after these dates.

>> Non-UB transfer students from other colleges or universities should complete the required introductory courses prior to applying to the major, or may apply to utilize these introductory courses if they have completed equivalent courses. Contact the UB's School of Architecture and Planning Advisement at [ap-advising@buffalo.edu] for course articulation assistance.

Students generally apply to the BA Env Dsn during their sophomore year. Contact the UB's School of Architecture and Planning Advisement at [ap-advising@buffalo.edu] for additional admission information on the BA Env Dsn.

> UB School of Architecture and Planning Advising Appointments

Students interested in scheduling an advising appointment with UB's School of Architecture and Planning Advisement may do so by calling 716.829.3485 between 9am & 4:30pm Monday through Friday and inform the School's operator you'd like to schedule an advising appointment. The School's operator will then schedule an advising appointment.

Current UB students should bring their UB DARS to the advising appointment. UB students can generate their UB DARS for an academic major by visiting MyUB at <http://myub.buffalo.edu>.
